Many thanks to Club member Dennis Rader for sharing with Green Bay West Rotary this week his first-hand experience the March on Washington in 1963, a fight for the same freedoms for all people which are so familiar in our national dialogue still today. This experience – which included hearing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I have a dream” speech – changed Dennis and broadened his views of the world far beyond what he had learned in the small German immigrant dominated central Wisconsin town where he was raised. The impact was deep and profound, and we're grateful that Dennis shared this powerful experience with us.
