Green Bay West Rotary learned something new about one of its own with Dr. Woody Williams introducing us to the services of the Civil Air Patrol. Dr. Williams fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a pilot at age 50 has served through CAP ever since. CAP is one of the nation’s best kept secrets, with its highly skilled member providing critical support to communities through emergency response, aviation and ground service to the nations armed forces and youth programming, development and scholarships.
Dr. Williams says there’s a huge need for these services and a need for more people to get involved, especially youth. We are so grateful for Dr. Williams and his many colleagues in CAP for their service. They’re a great example of the Rotary mission: Service Above Self.
